Notice to all Californa homeowners:
A new law (Senate Bill - SB 183) went into effect on July 1, 2011 that requires all single family homes to have a Carbon Monoxide Detector Installed. We have attached some information from the California Association of Realtors with more detail here for your reference. According to our records, many of your properties are equiped with 'smoke detectors' only and NOT the required CO detector device.
We recommend the installation of a detector in similar
locations to your current smoke detector, which is adjacent to each bedroom or
sleeping area. These Carbon Monoxide Detectors are available for between $15
to $100 and can be purchased in hardware stores including Lowe's and Home Depot
or online. You can handle installation on your own, or we can have a handyman
purchase and install these detectors for approximately $50.00 per detector. If
you prefer to have them installed by a smoke detector inspection company, Desert
Fire charges approximately $240-360 per home. Please let us know if would like

can handle the installation yourself.
