Palm Springs - This unique desert home was built in 1929 on a prime western view lot in the upscale neighborhood of Old Las Palmas. This home has 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms, including the separate cottage located next to the main house, which also has a small utility kitchen. All of the bedroom suites have attached bathrooms. The 7th Heaven was the Pre-Racquet Club Ranch House for the Stars. Some of Hollywood's biggest names came to enjoy the seclusion of this hide-away, including Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, Katherine Hepburn and more. The home was originally owned by Charles Farrell, the silent screen heartthrob and the first mayor of Palm Springs. The dwelling was christened 7th Heaven after Charlie's famous academy award winning movie. He sold the home to start the illustrious Racquet Club. Later the abode was occupied by Hollywood bad-boy John Garfield and then baseball great Don Drysdale.
